Empowering Youth: Awareness and Advocacy for Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights

Introduction: The Fuzu Dada team carried out a youth engagement event, “Empowering Youth: Awareness and Advocacy for Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights,” which was a resounding success. The event brought together young people from diverse backgrounds to discuss, learn, and advocate for sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR). This initiative aimed to address the myriad challenges faced by young people in accessing accurate information and services related to SRHR.

Opening Remarks:

  • The event commenced with a warm welcome from Bertha Oketch, the event organizer and a prominent advocate for youth health and empowerment. She highlighted the importance of SRHR and the need for open, honest conversations to address the stigma and misinformation surrounding these topics.

  • Sandra Yvonne, an expert in reproductive health, delivered an inspiring keynote speech. Sandra emphasized the critical role that SRHR plays in the overall well-being and development of young people.
